I stayed at Quarters for a business trip and the staff made me feel safe and well taken care of. The room had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, aircon, and a TV. The breakfast in the airy gazebo was delicious, with plenty of variety. The location is great, with many restaurant options nearby.
I would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable bed, well priced, attention to detail in terms of refurb and recreating historic style, smallish but great bathroom with old-fashioned fixtures, marble tiles etc., quick room service, friendly staff, great breakfast. We stayed at the Selborne Lodge the following night - in comparison, it was overpriced, tired and in need of a revamp. No enquiries from staff on check-out as to whether we enjoyed our stay, were there any problems etc. Selborne should take a lesson from Quarters!
Shower leaked over the bathroom floor.

Enjoyed the large, nicely furnished, well lit room (room 5). Breakfasts were excellent. All the staff and service employees were very helpful and professional.
The floor mat sisal carpeting was a bit tough on our feet. Construction scaffolding and workers outside our windows in the morning was distracting.

Quarters Hotel is my go-to place to stay in Durban. The staff found my forgotten earpods during my first visit, making me feel welcomed. With Wi-Fi, free parking, 24-hour reception, and a restaurant, it has everything I need. I'll be back for Easter!

The interior or the hotel is beautifully done, following the original Victorian stye of the converted houses. The restaurant (and particularly the breakfast) was excellent and with a small baby we appreciated the in-room dining. The staff were very friendly.
The room was a little noisy.

I didn't like the fact that they charged me the full fee for 3 rooms as soon as I had booked on Bookings.com, and didn't bother to call me to even confirm this was okay. The booking reservation stated that they would not charge me. They couldn't even apolgise, and I did not get a receipt for tax/business purposes. I had to phone.

It was so convenient to have all the dining options just a stone's throw away. The staff at this place were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any request I had. The Resturaunt was great, the menu was diverse and interesting and best of all delicious. The Pancetta and Cannelli Bean soup was very delicious as was everything else!

Quality of accommodation, location, friendliness and efficiency of staff, breakfast in particular and food in general were all excellent
Nothing that we did not like but it would have been nice to have a swimming pool and area to relax outside. We knew that these facilities were not available and made our decision on booking with this knowledge. We certainly don't regret our decision as the positives far outweigh this single negative

It has a home feel.Comfortable and spacious.Security staff courteous and efficient.Front office staff efficient.
It was rather irritating having to request face towels.Hot breakfast service rather slow. Should consider sound proofing rooms near busy roads(Florida and Argyle).

The provided database for Quarters was incredibly helpful, allowing me to easily access all the necessary information about the hotel. The balcony was a great addition, offering a large space to relax, even when it was raining.
One minor setback during my stay was the lack of information on TV channels in the room. It would have been convenient to have a guide or list available to navigate the various channels.
